I recently helped one of my baby boomer clients re-create a space that she wanted to use for her grandchildrens’ room when they came to stay over. The room had hardwood  floors and they needed softening, esp. for “little rug rats.”

One of my favorite flooring solutions are FLOR carpet tiles. They’re inexpensive and very easy to install. The best part? If a tile becomes stained, you can just replace it with a new one. No glue is used, so it’s not difficult at all.

They come in a gazillion colors, patterns, and textures. They even have round shapes available. As they are tiles, you can unleash the “artist” in you and design your very own pattern.

Other things I love about this company, is their ultimate goal is to use only renewable and recycled raw materials. They already are Green Label Plus certified as low VOC emitting material. This is important when you have little ones who are playing on them. You don’t need a carpet pad as they are virtually skid-proof.
